In Islam, the [**Kalma** ](https://www.wikihow.com/6-Kalimas#:~:text=The%20first%20Kalima%20is%20Tayyib,guides%20you%20to%20spiritual%20growth.)(
also called _Kalima_) is very important. It is a way for a Muslim to declare their
faith, love for Allah, and belief in the teachings of Islam. The Kalma is like a
bright light that shines in our hearts and guides us toward the right path.

Here are a few simple reasons why every Muslim should learn the Kalma:

### 1. **It Shows Our Faith**

The first Kalma (_Kalima Tayyibah_) says,
_“Laa Ilaaha Illallahu Muhammadur Rasoolullah”_(
There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger).

By saying and understanding this Kalma, we show that we believe in Allah and His
Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). It is the basic foundation of being a Muslim.

### 2. **It Brings Us Closer to Allah**

When we say the Kalma with our hearts, it brings us closer to Allah. It reminds
us that Allah is always watching us and that we should live a good, honest, and
kind life.

### 3. **It Helps Us Remember Our Purpose**

Learning and reciting the Kalma reminds us that life is not just about playing or
studying. We are here to worship Allah, do good deeds, help others, and prepare
for the life after death.

### 4. **It Protects Our Heart and Mind**

The Kalma fills our hearts with peace and our minds with strength. Whenever we are
scared, sad, or confused, remembering the Kalma can make us feel brave and safe.

### 5. **It Will Help on the Day of Judgment**

On the Day of Judgment, the Kalma will be a witness for us. If we lived by the Kalma
in this world, InshaAllah (God willing), Allah will bless us and forgive our mistakes.

### 6. **It Teaches Us to Love Islam**

Learning the Kalma helps us love our religion more. When we know the meanings of
the words we say, we can feel more connected to Islam and feel proud to be a Muslim.

---

**In short:**
Learning the Kalma is not just about memorizing words. It is about
understanding what it means and living our life according to it. Every Muslim —
whether young or old — should learn, understand, and love the Kalma because it keeps
our Imaan (faith) strong and pure.
