Makkah: Saudi Arabia

Departing between May 12th and 23rd, our pilgrims will head to the revered city
of Medina, the cherished home of Islam’s second holiest site. Following this, the
subsequent group of flights bound for the holy city of Jeddah will operate from
May 24th to June 10th.

Upon the completion of their spiritual journey, pilgrims will return to Indonesia
between June 22nd and July 22nd. As a testament to our commitment to their well-
being, 61% of our pilgrims have already undergone mandatory health screenings before
their departure.

Saudi Arabia, in anticipation of this sacred event, has commenced early preparations
under a new strategic approach. Last year, despite the challenges of the pandemic,
1.8 million pilgrims gathered in and around the holy city of Mecca, marking a triumphant
return to pre-pandemic levels.

In adherence to this year’s regulations, Saudi Arabia has introduced a new system
for allocating pilgrimage sites. No longer will specific places be designated for
countries; instead, allocation will be based on finalized contracts. Priority will
be given to countries that secure contracts early, ensuring a seamless pilgrimage
experience.

Visa issuance for the Hajj will commence on March 1st and conclude on the 20th of
Shawwal, corresponding to April 29th. Pilgrim arrivals in Saudi Arabia are set to
begin on the first day of Dhul Qadah, the 11th month of the Islamic calendar, corresponding
to May 9th.

## Hajj Visas

As we eagerly anticipate the blessed journey of Hajj this year, let us delve into
the meticulous preparations and sacred customs that await our pilgrims. Saudi customs
authorities stand vigilant, ready to intensify inspections upon the arrival of our
honored pilgrims, ensuring the sanctity of this profound experience by confiscating
any prohibited materials they may carry.

Saudi Arabia has embarked on early preparations for this year’s Hajj, employing
a strategic approach to ensure the smooth execution of this sacred duty, with associated
operations already underway. Last year, despite global challenges, approximately
2 million pilgrims from around the world graced the holy sites, marking a significant
return to pre-pandemic levels.

In adherence to the principles of equality and fairness, the Kingdom has established
new regulations for this year’s Hajj, wherein specific places will not be allotted
for countries at the holy sites. Instead, designations will be based on finalized
contracts, prioritizing those nations that have reached early agreements, as emphasized
by the esteemed Saudi Ministry of Hajj, Tawfiq Al Rabiah.
